The emergence of GVCs has challenged the conventional use and interpretation of trade statistics and instigated the use of new data and methods. The webinar aims at introducing concepts, data and metrics to measure country’s participation in GVCs and to assess recent patterns of GVC trade.

Details

Lucia Quaglietti is an economist in the OECD Economics Department where she is part of the team that produces the OECD Economic Outlook report. Prior to joining the OECD, Lucia was a senior economist at the World Bank, the European Central Bank and the Bank of England, where she was in charge of monitoring and forecasting the euro area and the global economy. Her main research interests are in the areas of international economics, spillovers and international trade. She obtained a PhD from the Catholic University of Milan and a Msc in Development Economics from SOAS University.
